Zuzana Osako
As an illustrator, I observe the world around me and tell its stories through images, sometimes translated into patterns. My subjects are most often scenes connected to traditional folk culture, crafts, and nature, though I also specialize in fashion illustration and portraiture.
As a designer, I primarily create under my own brand, Tradice (Tradition), where I reinterpret elements of folk culture to serve modern life. At Tradice, ethics and aesthetics go hand in hand. I am mindful of how and from what we create, whether I am collaborating with master craftsmen—recognized Bearers of Folk Craft Traditions—or partnering with larger local workshops for serial production.
