WORLD INTEREST: MISS GRAND

In May, the finals of the Miss Czech Republic and Miss Grand Czech Republic competitions took place, with the latter being won by Sophia Maria Osako, the daughter of Zuzana Osako. The Miss Grand Czech Republic winner is currently preparing for the world finals, which will be held in Vietnam this October. The Miss Grand International competition originated in Thailand and is one of the five global Grand Slam pageants, ranking as the second most-watched in the world after Miss Universe. During her year-long reign, the winner of Miss Grand International—potentially Sophia Maria Osako herself—will work in the Asian entertainment industry and promote the pageant's mission: "Stop the War and Violence."
